Several main ideas emerged as we went through our research of music in cube farms as we began to understand what aspects of music playing mattered most to our target users.
Workers need a device that will fit in their
flow of work. Most of all, it needed to be something that could be naturally integrated into their environments. It could not be a player that could be lost among papers nor a player that could be easily stolen.
In the end, it was important that it was a player that could make workers' lives better. Work in a cube farm could be stressful, but having music could make this life all the more better.
