03 Revised Use Case

"Be sure to speak to how Bertha would
move through the site."

Recall that Bertha is planning an elaborate dinner party for 15 of her friends. Since a number of them are vegetarians, Bertha has the challenge of creating a full range of dishes to support them. Below we've shown how Bertha perceives and subsequently moves through the site.

"I need a vegetarian meal."

Bertha's need shows the importance of being able to look for meals by dietary restriction. In response to this need, we give Bertha the capability to look through various dietary types, and see an example of a meal that would be available under each category. She clicks on Vegetarian.

"What meal would my guests like?"

Holistic Impressions Page 2

Bertha is able to browse through the five Vegetarian meals featured on the site. Based on the one that she feels most appeals to her guests, she can find more information about that meal. She decides that Sagittarius is the meal for her.

"Sagittarius looks good."

Bertha is able to get a better glimpse at each of the dishes individually. We determined that this is the point where she would be interested in seeing them in this way (as dishes, rather than as a full meal) in order to decide what she thought about each dish separately. This would also support a user who was looking for one particular dish in a meal. She is immediately drawn in by the fruit cup and decides to get the recipe.

"Wow, that fruit cup looks amazing!"

Bertha looks at the fruit cup recipe, and decides it would be a perfect dessert for her vegetarian meal. She adds it to her planner and then continues on to other parts of the site to finish planning her dinner party. She's sure to have a dinner party that impresses her guests!
